После того, как я побывала на свадьбе у одной из моих подруг в Fairbanks Ranch, у меня особое отношение к этому месту. Ощущение спокойствия и затишья не покидает меня, когда я приезжаю в Fairbanks Ranch. Каждый дом уникален, часто построенный в начале 80х годов, и несет в себе частичку истории.

Расскажу Вам немного истории этого комьюнити. Открытие Fairbanks Ranch Country Club состоялось в 1984 году, тогда же и состоялись Олимпийские Конно-Спортивные соревнования в этом месте. I have very special connection with Faibanks Ranch Communty! After the wedding of my friend there, I always feel peacefulness and calm of this place. Every house is very unique and has a piece of history.

The opening of Fairbanks Ranch Country Club was in 1984 when Olympic Equestrian Endurance Event held on the property on August 1. There is a bronze sculpture that named Victory’s Gate that reminds us about the event and stands at the entrance gate of Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.

Douglas Fairbanks bought the land in 1920; he was that famous silent film star actor from Zorro and Robin Hood movies in 1900s. He and his wife Mary Pickford, known as “America’s Sweetheart,” owned more than 3,000 acres, which they called Rancho Zorro after the film The Mark of Zorro. A lot of famous Hollywood stars of that time attended the Fairbanks Ranch and had crazy parties.

Fairbanks Ranch Country Club’s global impact and refined image was solidified when the International Equestrian Federation chose it as the site of the 1984 Olympic Equestrian Speed and Endurance Test, although all other Olympic equestrian activities were held in the Los Angeles area. The site was granted the royal stamp of approval by the president of the International Equestrian Federation, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, during his historic visit to Fairbanks Ranch. Prince Philip expressed his gratitude in this letter to the members of Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.
